Did you “superman that hoe”?

I like the Soulja Boy song, but I’m hoping that what I’m being told (and reading online) is untrue regarding the origin of the phrase “superman that hoe”. I have been made to understand that this phrase refers to something like this…

A couple does doggy style, and he pulls out, and cums on her back/ass. When she tells him to wipe it off, he pretends to, and when she wakes up, she has the bed sheets stuck to her back like supermans cape.

Man, I hope it’s not true. Lord, people in the club dancing to some crazy lyrics. Yuck, yuck, yuck.

Update 11/8: Commenters, I’m sorry…I still think the song has a sexual connotation referring to “nuttin” on a “hoe”. Check the lyrics…

Soulja Boy Crank Dat Soulja Boy Lyrics“Supersoak that hoe”??? I know that’s a dance, but dances can be based on other things. You can’t tell me that this stuff can’t have a double meaning.

  • That made me laugh even though it’s gross.

  • All I can do is shake my head….Lost, LOST,
    L-O-S-T!

  • Wow. That’s all I can say to that. I would have never imagined.

  • I have seen a video of the sexual position that is suppose to be “Superman that ho”. Apparently the couple is in the doggy style position only the guy is in her anus and he is using his arm strength to keep his legs lifted off the bed in mid-air with each thrust. It’s sort of a balancing act.

  • Please tell me No, thats not what it means

  • Wow :/ I never really thought about it!

  • Yeah that’s what it means and “Superman that hoe” and “super-soak that hoe,” are the original phrases in the “song”. The uncut lyrics are very nasty. Isn’t it sad what hip-hop has been degraded to?

  • i do not think that is what it means thats is ridiculous on so many levels. its a song by a kid so its probably something childish. ill bet an adult started that rumor lol

  • yes that is sad, and he is only 17, very nasty. I am deleting the ringtone right now.

  • WAIT WAIT WAIT. That is not what the song is saying at all. That’s silly. It doesnt even make since.
“The Superman” is a motorcycle stunt where the rider lays down on the bike while driving.

The Souljah boy is dance that is based on the “motorcycle dance” made popular by ATL rapper Young Joc”. So to take the dance a little further he decided to “superman that hoe”.

The song is very juvenile and bubble gum as can be. Trust me.

  • The cut lyrics may be bubblegum, but I don’t think the uncut version is for kids at all. I agree with sista in that it may have a double meaning. If you look up superman in urbandictionary.com, superman can also mean cuming on the girls back and sticking the bed sheets on her. This is why people say the English language is so damn complex, with so many slangs being created, we don’t even understand ourselves sometimes.

  • I agree that the premise of this song is stupid, if not disgusting. The lyrics may be bubble gum, but its got us buzzing about them. Go figure. The state of hip-hop (read: commercial hip-hop) is on a slippery slope. That’s why songs like Soulja Boy’s get massive airplay and other, more thoughful hip-hop artists get next to none. The distributors are the culprits in the widespread distribution of this dumbed down music.

BTW, mystiquesista, you’ve already paid for that ringtone, so no sense in deleting it now… ;-)

  • Being an educator, I am very disgusted on a regular basis with the trash that our children are fed on a daily basis through radio and video outlets. When this song came out and I saw the video I thought, “Finally an innocent song about dances that kids can listen without being aurally assaulted”– I even learned the dance. Well after hearing that the song was filled with vulgar sexual references, I went on urbandictionary.com to check out some of the phrases. And to my disgust, I found this horrid song, that is marketed towards OUR babies, was filled with crazy, unthinkable sexual acts. Go to the website and check out phrases like: “Superman,” “Supersoak,” “Robocop,” and “Crank It.” I felt dirty after reading what these things really meant knowing I had done the dance and told people it was a “harmless kids song.” NOT SO!

  • If the lyrics meant “superman” as in the motocross trick, why would it include the word hoe?

All these bubblegum rap tracks are filled with puns. The worst is “Coffee Shop” which is obviously about sellin drugs but has a bunch of little kids singing the hook. Thats almost as fucked up as little girls finding out what Supersoak and Superman really mean.

At least groups like 2 Live Crew and Too Short don’t sugar coat their lyrics in puns and riddles so it can get radio play.

Hip Hop has been dead for awhile. The bubblegum shit is just throwin more dirt on the coffin and gettin ringtone sales.

  • Perhaps there are double meanings to the song, it’s a form of art, free speech and open to interpretation—Create what you will, you create it—-see what you will—you choose to see it

I don’t like the use of the word hoe/ho, it is obviously displaced or even misplaced to create misinterpretations and create publicity and it is–right?—don’t like the song—change the SUBJECT—has more of an impact than complaining of your discontent

The motocross stunt makes more sense visually than the sexual connotation, if your really that bothered by it, boycott radio stations publicly and demand a response from the ARTIST

As an artist he should be prepared and willing to defend his art and if he won’t he deserves to be discredited and follow the lead of all other one hit wonders

  • Soulja boy is just another dumb ass so called rapper embarrassing black people. Just feeding into the stereotype that we are just a bunch of uneducated, sexually depraved animals. That song is devoid of any artisitic integrity and talent. But if you could make a million bucks saying total BS wouldnt you do it too?

  • Do you realize you just refered to Souljah Boy an “artist”??? LOL@you.

I didn’t know motocross was hot in the streets these days…

  • This is why we do not let our kids listen to that mess. All of it is brainwashing our lil boys & girls into thinking they are (or want to be) either whores or pimps! It is so sad to see black folk accept the chains of slavery (of their minds). I’m with Mr. Cosby on this one. Our babies deserve more than what we as “parents” are giving them, we are not fulfilling our part of the bargain!! The MAN wins again, we are just helping him enslave our minds! SAD

  • Oh, I guess I should explain my “superwoman” name. I consider myself a superwoman because I have a superman (husband) and gave natural birth to 5 superkids (4boys & girl) & we do the darn thing at home, school, church & our community! We are a SUPERFAMILY.

  • Great blog, I linked to yours in my own referring to “supaman that hoe.”

    blessings

  • Tammie Brighton

See, this is what I’m talking about. And we have to call these people ‘artists’. It’s a hot mess! Who produces this crap? Why can’t our music have meaning, and not some stupid, idiotic gimmick???

  • A Day in Soulja Boy’s Life

9:00 Waited for Invalid Bus to take me to ESL class at the local community center. Gots to learn propa way of speaka english!!

  • Male ejaculate is disgusting and should not be allowed in or on any part of the female except for conception purposes. If seeing ejaculate on a female’s back, butt, or in her mouth is so ultra hot, then men should get a good dose of it in their milk. Matter of fact I have done just that to share my disgust for it.

    Happy eating and drinking gentlemen!

  • Ok, so we all have our own definitions of “Superman that hoe”, right? Well, has anyone ever thought about what “supersoak that hoe” means??

Watch what he’s doing in the dance when he gets to that part. He’s “bouncing on my(his) toes”….
He’s hitting the girl from the back like men love to do, while bouncing on his toes. In most cases, a man may feel that he’s getting more traction while digging his toes deeper into the ground, enjoying the reaction of the woman getting wetter…..

    DUH!!!!

  • Just sit back and actually LISTEN to the lyrics. The entire song is about him having sex, his style, and technique.

  • http://www.urbandictionary.com is my best friend. It’s hard to keep up with all the new slang. The Superman is defined in urbandictionary.com as:

“When you are mad at your girl for not having sex with you. So when she falls asleep you masturbate and cum on her back. After that, stick the bedsheet on to her back and when she wakes up it’s stuck to the cum and she has a cape like Superman!!!”

Hence, “supersoak” would refer to increasing the process of releasing a plethora of seminal fluid on a woman’s back. Soulja Boy Tell’em is 17 years old. It is a travesty that a teenager is talking about something like this.

  • [...] Million ringtones sold and 28 million hits on YouTube!  Does CNN have any idea what the song means?  OH LORD, this is too [...]

  • I don’t listen to secular music, so this is the first time I heard about this song. I watched the video on this site thinking it was just a new dance crave. Reading the posts opened my eyes and now I feel sick to my stomach. It’s not surprising that a 17year old knows about sexual positions, especially in the US where 11-12 year old girls are given contraceptives without their parents consent. It’s getting close to the end my people, very close.

  • First of all we should no tbe listening to that stuff anyway! If we stop buying and start turning it off then they will not sell, hince you hit them in the pockets and it will stop. Go back to the days of old and boycott. It is a God awful shame..and Jesus died for that!!!!!

  • Ive been a dj for 13 years. 1 thing I know is that people are ignorant of song meanings. They like the tune for a few weeks and move on. Generally people are stupid.

Ps Was a hip hop dj for 5 years and the wannabe gangstas cheesy hip hop promotes isnt doing anyone a favour. Just churning out undereducated, violent idiots. Hip hop should EDUCATE. They will learn the hard way.

Pps.. Im white, approaching middle age and have never been to America.

Listen to KRS One. The Edutainer gets my props.

  • Poor MLK wasted his time

    How about this one;

    Niggers niggers bo biggers
    Banana fanna fo figgers
    Me my mo miggers,
    Niggers!

Remember, it’s only racism if whites say/do it.

  • Yo wtf…is that? All that complicated shyt, who does and thinks about all of that when they’re with their girl? LMAO.

  • Why is everyone freaking out. Some people are interested in different sexual tastes. If this Soulja Boy (may I just say that is a really, really lame pun*Shakespeare Spins in grave*) likes this sexual act and is paid to sing about it we can not complain. Just don’t listen to his songs.

Sex is an act between to people that should be expressed appropriately.

But meh… This is the modern world.
